What is ESI?
- ESI is the government insurance for employees which is managed by an autonomous body “ESIC” (employees state insurance corporation) which has been created by the government.
- ESIC safeguards the insurance perspective of all employees employed in product/service industry.
- It is mandatory for all organizations, under Section 2A of ESI Act with the regulation 10-B, to obtain ESI registration within 15 days from the date at which they employ 10 or more employees.
Documents required:
- Factory/Establishment Name proof,
- Address proof of establishment,
- Employer’s Proof of Identity,
- PAN Card of Establishment,
- Bank Details of establishment,
- Proof of power usage in case of factory,
Process of Registration:
- Registration on portal
- Submission of documents
- Receive 17-digit ESIC number by email,
- Create user id and password on portal.
